Currently, Chobots.net is looking for additions to our staff.

We are looking for new staff in the following fields:

Development: You should have a firm grip on at least 2 of following programming languages, but not limited to: Java, ActionScript3, JavaScript, MXML, HTML5, and PHP. You should have access to the basic programmings for development (Flash CS5 or greater and TextMate or another editing tool). You should be able to look at an error and figure out a way to fix it. You should be able to work within a team and follow directions given by the department leader.

Illustration: You should have a firm grip on designing professionally. You should have access to the basic designing programs (Flash CS5 or greater and Photoshop CS5 or greater). You should be able to create designs based on a template given in a timely fashion. You should be able to work within a team and follow directions given by the department leader.

Moderation: You should have the ability to make quick and appropriate actions based on the situation at hand. You should know slang terms commonly used both on and off the internet. You should have a good grip on grammar. You should be able to work at least 3-5 hours a day. You should be able to work within a team and follow directions given by the department leader.

Support: You should have the ability to make appropriate actions based on the situation at hand. You should have a wide vocabulary in order to assist users no matter what is asked. You should have a good grip on grammar. You should be able to respond to users within 12-24 hours of their messages coming in. You should be able to work within a team and follow directions given by the department leader.

June Journalists

Hi Chobots! June is coming up in a few days, so we're going to be updating our Journalists!

If you are unfamiliar with our program, its official name is the Journalist Program. In this program we award bloggers around Chobots who show off their skills in blog creating, posting, template building, and many other skills of blogging!

To start, the badge is in the lower-left hand corner of your playercard. It looks like this...

Stylish Support Worker!

By being a Journalist of Chobots, you get some cool features that other Chobots don't have access to.

-For one, you get your own Journalist badge right on your playercard.

-Next, you get a spot on the official Chobots blogroll for the blog you own.

-And lastly, you get a bonus of 5000 bugs a month (which is paid on the 1st of the month).

To become a Journalist of Chobots, you should try to do at least one of the following things, the more the better your chances:

1) Publish original content on your blog.
2) Help out in the Chobots community both in and out of the actual game.
3) Post on the forum to interact with other users.

You may have noticed that #1 is stating how you have to publish original content. If you're wondering what this means, it means that when you make blog posts, you should use your own words, not just copy directly from somewhere else, (like the official blog). You're free to reuse pictures, but try to reword everything into how you would say it!

Aren't those some cool rewards for blogging about Chobots? If you'd like to be a Journalist for Chobots, just send in your blog (not a blog you work on, but your own personal and stylish cool blog!) to Support and we will review it. All blogs of any age can be submitted, but remember, you can only submit once a month, so make it count! We will add more Journalists to the program based on the creativity you put into your blogging skills.

Former Journalists from May 2012 will need to resubmit (via email) so we know they are still active in their blogging activity! Our Journalists will vary month to month based on their activity, skills of posting, ability to assist users both on their blogs and in game, and how much fun they can be!

Agents, lets go!

Good day to all the Agents of Chobots world! Our monthly agency meeting will be conducted this Saturday, May 19th, 2012. We hope you can all attend, but these meetings are not mandatory. This month we will be discussing about some new things coming up in the next month, including features, parties, clothes, etc... and also take some recommendations for any users they seem to be agent worthy!

The meetings will occur at 3:20PM and 10:00PM Chobots Time on Saturday!

A contest, a party, and some new items come to Chobots world...

Hey Cho's! After a long school and work week, it's finally time. It's finally Friday!!! You know what that means... right? It means... Time to enter the contests, obtain the new items, and especially attend the super cool party.

First of all to start this spectacular May weekend, we will kick it off with a double contest! Do you remember from last time what you have to do?

If you weren't here when we did the first double contest, or simply forgot, this is how it works. We are going to have 2 contests open at one time during this weekend and your goal is to get on the leader board for both! For each rank you move up, you have 1 less point. The main goal is to have the lowest total points (2 is the lowest you can go; 1st in each). Example: 1st in game 1 and 152nd in game 2 = 153 total points (not the best).

Our double contest will feature the two following games that were picked out especially to test your skills in a few different ways...

Do you like the games we picked? We felt that in order to win, you need to show off your skills in teamwork and your skills in destroying the competition!




This will prove truly who eats the sweets and who puts in the hard work... Good luck to all of you. The contest ends Monday night, to give you guys some extra time earning those high spots on the leader boards!

Next on our long list of weekend plans, we have a cool party that's going to be happening this Sunday!

Finally on our long list of weekend news, we have a lot of new items in the shop this week! I've put in many more items than usual due to how last weekend I was just too busy to get that done! Take a look for yourself now!!
