A New Captain

It has come time to welcome aboard a new member to the Chobots.net team! His name is Albert. He will be an administrator, and he will oversee all operations. Albert has had extensive experience with the development of Internet applications on multiple platforms in the past. We believe he'll be a great fit for Chobots.

Server Maintenance

Good afternoon, everyone.  Its summer time in the USA, which means bug season.  It is so hot in some parts of the country, that I bet the bugs are even sweating.  Do you like bugs?

Our servers are under maintenance again.  We'll be back soon.  In the meantime, you can show your creative side.  Let's see.  You could enter the Create a Chobot Meal contest. You could update your blog and apply to be a July Journalist.  You could add those finishing touches to your Thriller entry.  So many choices!!  Which one will you complete first?

Hi Chobots! We have a very interesting contest for you all this week!

We’re doing a spectacular competition where you Chobots have to ‘Make and Bake’ your very own Chobots food!

Here’s how the competition will work:

1) Bake your very own Chobots food. (Examples: Cookies, cakes, cupcakes, pies and more!)
2) Take a photo of your grand bake.
3) Comment your Chobots creation in the comments!

Since this competition will not be a piece of cake, there will be some AMAZING prizes to be awarded!

1st (2 people): 1 month Citizenship, Pie shirt, 100 Cho Energy

3rd (3 people): 2 weeks Citizenship, Pie shirt, 60 Cho Energy

Calling All Journalist

Hi Chobots! July is HERE!  It's time to update our Journalists!

If you are unfamiliar with our program, its official name is the Journalist Program. In this program we award bloggers around Chobots who show off their skills in blog creating, posting, template building, and many other skills of blogging!

To start, the badge is in the lower-left hand corner of your playercard. It looks like this...

By being a Journalist of Chobots, you get some cool features that other Chobots don't have access to.

-For one, you get your own Journalist badge right on your playercard.

-Next, you get a spot on the official Chobots blogroll for the blog you own.

-And lastly, you get a bonus of 5000 bugs a month (which is paid on the 1st of the month).

To become a Journalist of Chobots, you should try to do at least one of the following things, the more the better your chances:

1) Publish original content on your blog.
2) Help out in the Chobots community both in and out of the actual game.
3) Post on the forum to interact with other users.

You may have noticed that #1 is stating how you have to publish original content. If you're wondering what this means, it means that when you make blog posts, you should use your own words, not just copy directly from somewhere else, (like the official blog). You're free to reuse pictures, but try to reword everything into how you would say it!

Aren't those some cool rewards for blogging about Chobots? If you'd like to be a Journalist for Chobots, just comment the url/web address of your blog (not a blog you work on, but your own personal and stylish cool blog!) to this post and we will review it. All blogs of any age can be submitted, but remember, you can only submit once a month, so make it count! We will add more Journalists to the program based on the creativity you put into your blogging skills.

Former Journalists from May and June 2012 will need to resubmit  so we know they are still active in their blogging activity! Our Journalists will vary month to month based on their activity, skills of posting, ability to assist users both on their blogs and in game, and how much fun they can be!

Surprise Parties

Hi..   Have you enjoyed all the parties the past couple of days? Our staff sure knows how to make fun.  In fact, several of the moderators played hide and seek with you last night.  We really enjoy spending time with each of you!

Fixin' bugs!

Hey Chobots!

  Some pretty nasty bugs and downtime have been happening in the Chobots World over the past weekend, but it appears that we have squashed those bugs and the Chobots World is now fully online and ready to play!

  In order to fix some of the bugs that occurred during this period - we had to reset the clothes that were gained during this period - which means that any clothes that were bought with bugs or added to your account over the weekend have been removed. This means that your inventory today, is now as it appeared on Thursday, June 28th. If you purchased citizenship or shop items during this period, you will not have lost the items, and they have been added back to your account.

  We're sorry that this inconvenience occurred, and we have added 3000 bugs to all accounts as a token of our appreciation for your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any comments or concerns, we advise you to contact support.
