It's time for our last contest of April! This past week we were more focused on the Fashion Week and the 'design-an-item' contest, so we did not have any in-game competitions. However, if you like the Chobots mini-games and you want to earn some bugs and citizenship, the Coins Rain competition is for you!

Just head over to The Cafe and start playing the Coins Rain game. Let's see who gets the highest points! You have until the 2nd of May to compete for a bunch of bugs (that you hold in your hand), and citizenship.

Fashion Week Recap

Hello Chobots!

Well the fashion week has ended and each day we had a great time looking at everyone's outfit! So without further ado, here is the fashion week recap!

To kick off the first day of Fashion Week, we had Chobots dress up in green with an animal touch to it! There were some good styles out there but we saw 4 great styles! Here are the winners:

On Friday everyone dressed in their signature style, also known as their common outfit. Everyone had an awesome outfit. Since everyone has a signature style, the winner for this theme is.... EVERYONE! Well done guys!

On Saturday we decided to turn the clocks forward and visit the future of Chobots! Everyone was dressed up in their futuristic styles! Here are the winners:

To wrap up Fashion Week, on Sunday Zoo, Jake, Yaniv, Sheridan, Curiosity, Twinklefairyx, and myself logged on and had a fun fashion show party with you guys! There was magic, rain, music, and of course, fashion! We had 8 rounds of fashion fun! Here are the winners:

You Can Now Sell Your Items - to Other Players!

Attention, people of Chobots! A new feature has arrived: the Market! The Chobots Market is a place where you can sell your in-game items by holding auctions and bid on auctions held by other players - the perfect place to sell that item everyone's been asking about.

To sell an item, log into the game and head over to your wardrobe. You'll notice that there's a blue bin on the bottom left side. This is your Market bin - given to everyone absolutely free!



You will use this bin to drag items you would like to sell on the Market. After dragging an item into the bin, a new listing page will appear in a new tab in your browser. It will ask you how many bugs you would like to set its starting price to and the end date.




After pressing "Create my auction", your listing will be made public on the Market! To bid on an item, you must first deposit an amount of bugs into your Market Account, think of this as a bank account that you can use only on the Market. You just need to press the "Add Funds" link on the Market home page. After your account has the sufficient amount of bugs, you can bid on an item by hovering your mouse over an item's tag (where the price, bids, and time remaining is displayed), and a green "BID" button will appear. Press that, and you'll be taken to the auction page. At the auction page, you simply enter a bid amount that is higher than the current amount to become the new bidding leader for that item!

When you list an item... It transfers from your account to a market storage account; you cannot access items that are listed on the Market.

When you win an auction... The seller is asked to confirm that they want to sell the item. After confirming, the transaction will be completed: the amount of bugs will be deducted from your account, placed into theirs, and the item will be transferred from storage to your account. If the seller decides to deny the sale last-minute, a 5000 bug fee is deducted from their account. As compensation, you will receive 110% of your winning bid. You will be notified via email that the seller has confirmed or denied the listing.

When you lose an auction... If it is past the end date of the auction and you are not the highest bidder, the amount of bugs you bidded on that item will stay in your Market Account.

We ask that you price your items reasonably, and do not flood the Market with listings that you know will not sell; this takes up space and makes it difficult for other people to find a good deal.

Important information

- The Market's currency is "bugs"
- Both citizens and free players can list and bid on items
- The Market is moderated

- You can't bid on your own auctions
- You can't sell citizenship, premium Shop, contest, or agency items

Since this is a new feature, it may have bugs. If you run into problems with the Market please submit a bug report by clicking on the "Feedback/Bugs" link on the Market homepage. At the same link, you can send us feedback - we encourage you to send us feedback on this new feature!

Earth Day Party: Recap

Hey Chobots,
Yesterday was Earth Day and to celebrate, we had a party in Eco Shop. Everyone who joined us had bucket loads of fun and we learnt some interesting facts about our planet, Earth.

To start off, Jake started a discussion about the concerns with littering and pollution and how to prevent this from happening. We then began to talk about recycling and how useful it is to our planet. It was a great discussion which many Chobots enjoyed and participated in. We had some great ideas from you guys on how to save our planet!

We then started a game of 'Guess it, you win it' which was great fun and very popular. Amazing prizes were given away at this event so it was a great hit.

Thanks to the users who purchased magic items from the $hop and citizenship, we had magic not only coming from our moderators but also from you guys which was a real treat. It must have put us in a super good mood as we had tons of rain shooting down our screens!

Fashion Week

Hey Chobots,

If you checked the upcoming events lately, you probably noticed that there is a special event starting today - The Fashion Week. We saw that many users enjoy going to fashion shows, to wear different outfits, and to show their friends their unique items. This inspired us to host a week-long event just for that - a big fashion show, with a new theme every day!

Here is the schedule for the week:

Day #1 (Monday): Animal/Green Theme

Day #2 (Tuesday): Black and White

Day #3 (Wednesday):  Opposite Genders

Day #4 (Thursday): Blast from the Past

Day #5 (Friday): Your Signature Style

Day #6 (Saturday): Futuristic

Each day a different moderator will judge the styles they see in-game. On Sunday we'll have a big fashion show party in a new room and we will have some surprises for everyone.

So here we go! Today is the first day of the fashion week, and today's theme is dress in green! Your outfit needs to be very green and should represent nature and Earth Day. We suggest you wear an animal mask to compliment your outfit. Just to give you some inspiration, here is my playercard...

Tonight, at the Earth Day party, we'll be on the look-out for those with the best sense of fashion. The best outfits will be awarded with some rare fashion-week-only prizes at the end of the week!

Citizens Party: Recap

Hey guys and gals!

How was your weekend? If you are wondering about mine, then it was great!
I am sure that our Citizens had a great weekend because of the party that the team and I arranged for them.

The party began with some music and magic effects by DJ Coby, that kept everyone thrilled to see what was going to happen next. In the meanwhile; James, Twinklefairyx and I were partying with the rest of the Citizens at the Citizens HQ. We also had some sweet items raining! After the magic, we moved on to a fun quiz! Some questions were hard, and some questions were easy, but a lot of users responded quickly with the right answers - that really surprised me.

I hope that everyone enjoyed the party! Unfortunately, the juniors couldn't attend this one. I can assure you that in the future we will have lots of parties for juniors and some parties for citizens.

Earth Day Party

As you might be aware, the 22nd of April is known as Earth Day. It's a day used to raise awareness about environmental issues and to encourage change. We feel that it's very important to look after the Earth - it's our one and only home.

A New Design Contest!

Hey guys! Curiosity here with some exciting news!

Have you been feeling artistic lately, or maybe hoping for some new items, locations, or player card skins? If so, this is the contest for you!

You'll all have the chance to get your creative juices flowing, and design a new item, location, or playercard skin, but... here's the catch: your designs must be Spring or Summer themed!

The Best Video Makers

Hey Chobots,

How is your weekend going so far? It has been almost 2 weeks since the videos contest has begun. After a few days of reviewing all the great entries, it is finally time to announce who won!

Our first winner is Dean! His video might not have a song, but it has a catchy melody and a great use of the chroma key effect. Great job!

Our second winner is Illusiion! Illusion created a video with a great use of different effects, and a nice song! Nice job!

Our last winner is the one and the only - King! King has once again showed us his great video editing skills. He created an amazing video with great effects; a nice background that was used with the chroma key effect. All this with a funny song playing in the background. Awesome job!

Nice work winners! Each one of you will be awarded with 10 days of Citizenship and 7000 bugs. Dean and Illusion will receive a video camera hand item. Since King already got one, he will receive a red rosette instead. Enjoy your prizes!

Video editing might seem simple, but sometimes it can be a hard. That is why if you didn't win this time, you have some time to practice and get better at editing videos.

Citizens Party!

Hi Citizens,

I hope you guys and gals had a great week, as we have a super exclusive citizenship party for you guys this weekend!

Also, I thought about making this party more special; that is why the party is going to have a theme - You need to attend to the party with a hat! It could be any hat; a Santa hat, a wizard hat, a propeller cap, or any other hat. The best looking style with a hat will win a bonus prize!

Movie Party!

Hey Chobots!

Do you like watching movies or TV shows? How about dressing up as your favorite characters? Well you'll get a chance to do that at our upcoming Movie Party!

At this party, we want you to dress up as your favorite character from your favorite movie or TV show! We will have a great time listening to music and enjoying animations, and maybe even some rain!

The Party will be held April 17th at 18:45 (6:45 PM) Cho-time. We will be meeting at the Cinema on the server Chocolate!

Who's the best at Chopix?

Hey there!

We came up with an interesting competition idea. Instead of just having competitions based on the mini-games found in Chobots, we are introducing Quest Competitions! These will be based on your performance in the in-game quests (such as Chopix or Chistochob). Yay!

We've added a new scoreboard for the quest-competition right above Chopix! If you hover over it, you will see the scores for the current competition, as usual.

Now, you have two days to play as much Chopix as you can. Those with the highest scores will receive citizenship, bugs, and rewards.

The competition will end on April the 15th!

Hey guys!

This month, the process of picking new journalists and deciding which ones to let go was even harder than before! We were so amazed at all the amazing blogs that our Chobots players have, that we almost ended up with having 25 journalists in total. Of course, we had to raise our expectations, but this is a sign that we have some real talent in the community. Good job to everyone!

Now, we want to announce the next part of being a Journalist. We feel that we should give some part of the community more control over the blog, so we're introducing the Elite Journalist. This is a new rank given to users that will be able to regularly post on the official blog. To be able to qualify for this rank, you must have been a Journalist for at least 2 months, and you should show superior blogging skills. You do not currently need to be a journalist, though.

Two Elite Journalists will be chosen at the beginning of each month. If there is a large demand, we will even add a third Elite Journalist midway through the month. If you are being considered to be an Elite Journalist, you will be contacted by the Chobots Team and more information will be given to you.

Clothes Refresh!

Hey Chobots!

How is your weekend going so far? After a few cold months, the Winter is over, and the Spring has begun. The snow has melted long time ago, the wind is warmer and it doesn't rain so much anymore.

Since it is not so cold anymore, I thought that we should get rid of all the warm clothes and add a bunch of new items to the shops! The in-game shop has been restocked with 15 new items! Take a look:


Some of the items are for juniors, and some of them are for citizens. Most of the items don't cost too much, so you don't have to save up a lot of money to purchase them!

So what are you waiting for? Let's go to the shop and purchase some new items!
