Hello Chobots!

As with each start to the month, Chobots is looking for new writers to join our Journalist program. This program allows members of the community to showcase their distinguished blogs.

Below are the requirements that your site must meet to apply for Journalism.

•     Your blog should be at least one month old and updated weekly.
•     The posts on your blog must be your own and creative. You may not copy from other blogs or websites.
•     Images found on the Official Blog may be used in your posts.
•     At least 1 active author and no more than 3 authors.

Journalists are rewarded with many wonderful perks, such as:

•     Your blog will be featured on the play page.
•     Journalist badge on your playercard with the title of your blog, along with an exclusive playercard.
•     In the beginning of the month, each member of your blog will receive one week of free Citizenship*.
•     You will receive the exclusive feather item automatically.
•     You will be invited to write one blog post here on the Official Blog.
•     The ability to contact a moderator through PC, even when their card is blocked.
•        Your blog will be bookmarked by the Moderators.
•     Your website will be featured on the Official Blog.
•     And, a purple name tag.

If you would like to take the opportunity in becoming a Journalist, submissions will be open until Sunday, April 13th, 2014. Make sure to include your blog link in the comments. After the submissions are closed, the Chobots Team will review all submissions and announce the new April Journalists.

Easter Drawing Contest

Hey, Chobots!

Spring is in the air, the flowers are starting to bloom, and new life is beginning to spring forth. We love it! This time of year is also a time of celebrating Easter and all the wonderful colorful things that come with it.

To make things a little more interesting, we've decided to host an Easter drawing contest. We know there are some great artists out there in cho-world and we're very excited to see what some of you can come up with. Remember to keep it Cho-related, and be as creative as you can. We love colors! So, show us your best artistic abilities!

The contest will be from April 5th through April 19th of 2014. Please submit your Easter drawings here on the blog. Winners will receive lots of bugs, a few days of citizenship, and of course, a cool prize. Good luck, chobots, and we're really excited to see your drawings.

April Fool's Day Video Contest (Postponed)

Update: This contest has be postponed until further notice.

Hey Chobots!

April fool’s day is next week and we thought it would be a great time to start a video contest! This contest won't last too long, so that means it’s time to put on your creative hats and make a video!

This contest will end on Monday, March 31st, so work fast! After the time is up, I will watch all the videos. From there I will be picking out the most creative, funniest, and on topic videos to win the grand prize!

Saint Patrick's Day Research Contest Winners!

Hello Chobots,

I hope you all enjoyed our Saint Patrick's Day Party last week! Speaking of last week, we asked you to showoff your education skills in a Saint Patrick's Day Research Contest.

Recap: St. Patrick's Day Party

After a weeks worth of competitions, the board games competition on Academy St. have come to an end. After many of you Chobots competed, here are the top three winners for all three contests:

Saint Patrick's Day Research Contest

Seeing as Saint Patrick's Day is just around the corner, we figured it'd be a neat idea for you guys to have some background information about the holiday before the party. So, we've decided to launch a Saint Patrick's Day research contest.

Starting today, March 14th through March 23rd, you're asked to find some information based on Saint Patrick's Day, and placing it on the image above. To do so, I highly recommend using Paint, Photoshop or any other image making program.

Agents Meeting

It's that time of the month again where our Agents and Moderators meet as a group in the Agents meeting and discuss several topics, such as suggestions, updates and more.

Board Games Contest

Twins Party

Hey friends!

It's finally weekend and since Chobots is back up we decided to host a big Party for you! But this time it's not going to be a normal Party - to make it more unique we thought a theme Party would be way cuter. The topic of this one will be Twins!

The  party will take place on Saturday, 8th of March, 10 P.M. Cho-Time in the Cafe. The object of this party is teamwork - you and a buddy can get together and see if you can "clone" each other/ wear the same clothes and items. The top three pairs of "twins" will receive lots of bugs. Of course we will have loads of beautiful magic, colors, rain and music, too! Make sure to find a partner early enough, so you can discuss together what both of you'd like to wear.

Citizen's Day Review

Hey lovely Chobots!

I hope you're having a great day today! Just yesterday, Birdy, Bluewonder, and I hosted a Citizen's party to celebrate all of our users that purchase Citizenship. Citizenship offers many fun benefits, like drawing on the underground walls, a larger chat bubble, trading, and much more. One of my favorite benefits when I became a Citizen definitely had to be the fun parties, and I'm sure others might agree! If any of you missed the party, I took quite a few pictures so you can see how it went:

At the Citizen's party we had tons of magic, music, two quizzes, and a lot of rare rain! All of the users that attended said this was their favorite Chobots party ever. We're definitely going to be hosting another party like this in the future! If you want to attend another fun party like this, make sure to purchase Citizenship.

Asteroids

Hey friends!

One of the most popular minigames in Chobots is Asteroids. In the game, users hop into a small spacecraft armed with laser gun to shoot down incoming asteroids without getting hit yourself. However, since the last Asteroids contest been almost 2 years ago we decided to host another one!

We will open the boards today, 28th of February, at 9:00 P.M. Cho-Time, for one week; till Friday, 7th of March Wednesday, 12th of March. Try to shoot as many asteroids as you can! This game is located inside the Gamezone at the Cafe Street. There will be prizes for the first, second and third Chobots on the rank. I wish all of you best luck!

Spring Fashion

Hi Chobots!

Spring is only a few weeks away, so why not get your wardrobes all set and prepared for the new season? New clothes can be found in the catalogs, to accommodate Spring! Here are a few outfits I have prepared to give you guys inspiration:

Girls: Pair up some floral accessories with a clean, sleek dress! I always love creating styles with one or two accessories to spice things up. 

Guys: Keep it toned down with colors like blue or green. Brown or caramel hair is a great match up with these colors.

Girls: Get fancy with cute pastel colors such as violet, orange, or green. Dresses look fabulous with some slippers or sandals.

Guys: As they always say, basic is the best. Chill out with a plain t-shirt and pair it up with some headphones and shoes. 

Additional hand items or accessories look great with any style you make. Don't be afraid to mix and match colors as well, and see which items fit you best. All items shown here are currently available for purchase in the Shop.

Recap: Doodling Day

Hey everybody!

Doodling Day

Hey friends!

Most of you already recognised that the game is back up. On this occassion the Chobots Team has planned a fun event for all of you - the Doodling Day!

Crossword

Hey friends!

I hope you had a relaxing week, though you're not able to play Chobots at the moment. But don't worry, you don't have to spend your time with waiting for the Developers to fix the issue! We've created a Chobots Crossword puzzle for you guys, and hope you enjoy it.

I think everybody knows how to fill a Crossword, so I won't explain it. If you find this crossword to difficult and don't know how to solve it you can find some tips here. There are four boxes with a dark red border. You will find out which letter belongs there while filling the Crossword puzzle. These four letters build the solution word, but you will need to put these letters in the right order by yourself. If you've finished the Crossword you will need to save it with the filled solutions and send it as a private message to our official Chobots page on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/officialchobots?fref=ts). If you don't have Facebook you can send your entry to support@chobots.net with the Subject "Chobots Crossword". Don't forget to add the solution word and please do not enter more than once! The first three people who get everything right will receive some sweet prizes.

Unexpected Maintenance

Hi Chobots,

As many of you have already noticed by now, Chobots is currently experiencing a downtime. On Saturday, February 08, 2014 Chobots became unavailable for all players. The issue was caused by our server resource hosting company, their networks went down for routine maintenance, this caused a corruption forcing Chobots to go down. Our Developers are currently working towards resolving this issue quickly.

Once the issue is completely resolved, plan to party! We have many things that haven't gone on this week, such as our Cultural Fashion Show. Addition to this, all users have received 10,000 20,000 bugs for the inconvenience.

Valentine's Post Card

Hello Chobots!

It's that time of year again. This upcoming Friday is Valentine's Day! Valentine's Day is often celebrated with the ones you love. Traditionally, we give our loved ones gifts, whether it be a box of chocolates, or perhaps a post card... Hmm...

If you choose to participate, your job is to make a special post card to your Valentine! Be sure to keep it all at a PG-Level. If it is not, it will automatically be disqualified. Use this template for your post card:

February Citizenship

Hi Chobots!

It's February! Can you believe that we are already in our second month of the year? As with each new month, there is a new set of Citizenship Bonus items. This month, you can show your February spirit as a Love Bull. Along with receiving a fantastic new Citizenship to Chobots, you will receive the Love Bull set of items and 20000 bugs.

We have received many requests over the years to add the ability to purchase gift Citizenship for a friend or family member. And we have listened! Starting this month, you may send your pal the gift of Citizenship.

There are no additional steps included with sending a friend Citizenship. Simply select the plan you want to purchase and enter the username of the account the Citizenship will be applied to. Then, complete the order as usual. 

Your feedback is making upcoming changes to the Chobots World.

Cultural Fashion Show *UPDATED*

Hello Chobots!

Hope everyone has been enjoying Culture week and the new decorations that are throughout our Chobot community. To add a little more fun and excitement to the close of our week, we've decided to host a Culture fashion show. Everyone can dress up in their best outfits matching each culture represented. It's going to be a ModMagic party with prizes for each winner and will be hosted in my (Bluewonder's) Cho-dome. Each culture will be a theme for our fashion show. The Party is going to be on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 9pm, 21:00 Cho-Time.

So, come prepared for a little magic, music, dancing and fun as we celebrate just some of the many different wonderful cultures from around the world. See you at the party!
