Hello Chobots!

It's Halloween tomorrow and the Chobots team has been working very hard on some new updates the past days. You will be able to discover many spooky Halloween decorations and make sure you look carefully.. you may also notice Sharonda the Soul Swallower and if you look close enough, even Slenderman!

If you find Sharonda, make sure you talk to her, some of her bats recently flew away and she needs you guys to help her get them back before the sun rises. When you have found all the bats, Sharonda will award you with some candy and a basket will appear in the top left corner of your screen. If you click on the basket, it will show you how much candy you have, you can exchange your candy for cool Halloween items!

The New Agents!

Hey Chobots,

Recently as you all know, there was an agent poll on the main blog. From then on, 8 of the most voted Chobots moved onto the 2nd round. Now it's time to announce our new agents.

First off, we want to say that we all felt that each and every one of you that made it to the 2nd round deserved an agent badge. Sadly, we're only allowed to give out 5 badges a month. Agent Meeting

Hey!

Today we want to have a quick meeting to discuss the recent updates, share ideas and also receive feedback from our most trusted users, the agents.

Agents, please join us at 5:30 PM Chobots Time in the Agent HQ, Pumpkin. Those who attend will receive a small prize.

Our new agents will be announced 30 minutes before the meeting. If you were on the agent poll, make sure you come online to find out if you were voted to become an agent!

Don't forget, for most of us the clocks went back an hour. This means that UK time and Chobots Time are now the same!

Hello Chobots,

Recently, many users messaged us saying that they can't use Mozilla Firefox to play Chobots.
This information has been passed to the development team, and they will fix this bug as soon as possible.

In the meanwhile, to play Chobots, you can use the Big Screen Popup. If you want to use the small window, you can use a different browser such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari, etc.

Forum Contest

Hey everyone!!

We're having a small contest on the forum! :)

Halloween is coming up in about a week, and it's a Chobots tradition to rename our cities for special occasions! So what I want you to do is come up with a list of 10 creative, spooky or hilarious city names which relate to autumn and/or halloween.

The one with the best city names will get them featured on the city page and will receive this sweet trophy!!

Once you have your 10 city names, go to my forum thread  and post your 10 city names! You might need to register for the forum if you haven't yet.

Trick Or Treat!

Hey Chobots,

Halloween is fast approaching and the Chobots team has prepared many contests during the season. Well you've guessed it! Time for another contest!

Now we know that we have some good cooks on chobots, so we've decided to hold a Halloween food contest! You can make some food, a biscuit, a cake or whatever else you can think of that you can eat. Then take a photo of your creation and upload it to tinypic, or any other link making website.

If we find out you simply got a picture of the internet, you will be disqualified, however you may copy a recipe and make it yourself.

You have until the 28th of October. Winners will win some fancy prizes and citizenship. Good luck!

New Agents!

Hey Cho's!

It's coming to the end of October now, so we're going to be picking a few new agents to join the agency squad!

If you don't know what an agent is, an agent is a user who has proven themselves to the staff and fellow users that they know a lot about the game and they have the power to improve it. These agents work together to stop nichos from causing problems on Chobots.

We usually pick around 4 or 5 new agents each month, but it does really depend on how many users truly deserve it. We're ready to hear what you guys have to say about who should join the agents team.

In the comments, suggest, up to 2, users who should be entered into the agents poll. The poll will be up Tuesday, so you have until Monday to recommend!

Please remember that cheating in anyway, including asking for votes, will end all chances of agency for you in the future. Play fairly!

To report a cheater, please email support with picture proof.

Spooky Halloween Outfits

Hello Chobots,

Are you excited for Halloween? I can say that I am for sure, here are a few spooky Halloween outfits for you all to enjoy.

Twinklefairyx dressed up as a scary vampire with a great choice of colors, amazing look!

Theufo dressed up in a cool Halloween outfit too, he looks great as a skeleton and the hat is a nice detail.

Time to take a look at Yosheh.. it seems like he drank the potion in his hand and became a Halloween monster! Awesome outfit as well Yosheh.

Pokepikachu also looks nice, the ghost costume and hat looks great together. Very cool Halloween outfit Pokepikachu :)

I have awarded each of you with a pumpkin flag and 2,000 bugs to buy more stylish clothes. If you like to draw, make sure to draw some spooky Halloween drawings in the undergrounds, if I see some good ones, they may be featured here as well!

Party Time (Saturday 20th, 6 PM Cho-time)

Hello Chobots!

On Sunday (October 14th, 2012) Players were given a challenge to get 75 users online at the same time. Everyone worked really hard and we were so close! We got to 60+! But due to lag we had to cancel the event.

However, since you all worked really hard and we would have reached our goal, the team has decided to give you the big, long-waited... Rain Party! (Don't worry.. by rain we mean actual items)

The party will find place at Saturday 20th, 18:00 (6 PM) Cho-time, our staff will be waiting for you at Rockemall Street with magic, rain and items!

Halloween Video Contest

Hello Chobots,

I know a lot of you are very good video makers, so here's a great chance for all of you to win some awesome prizes. Dress up in your Halloween costumes, and create a Halloween themed video.

Good luck everyone, you have time until Tuesday, October 30th and the winners will be announced on Halloween night. Submit your entries in comments. Winners will receive a camera, citizenship, bugs and some other cool prizes.

If you've never made a video, and you don't know what to do, here's some tips and explanations:

•       First of all, you'll have to think about a storyline for your video.
•       Second of all, you need to record the movie. To record, you'll have to use a screen recorder. You can try 'Camstudio' or 'Hypercam'.
•       After the recording-part, you'll have to combine all the records that you recorded to a video using a video editor program. You can use Windows Movie Maker, iMovie, Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, or any other programs where you can edit videos.

1 week ago, we started some academy contests (Sliders, Checkers, Chess). The contests are over and it's time to post the winners! I saw a lot of people playing the academy games, trying to win the contest(s). Some of them got even high scores.

After these 12 days, the best racers that will come to the 1st, 2nd or 3rd place will recieve some days of Citizenship, an amount of bugs, and this nice trophy:
