A Year In Review

2013 has been a great year, especially in the scheme of huge advancements and changes for the world of Chobots. Below I have composed some of the highlights of the year in the form of a slideshow with each event name and date, so take a look!

Wow, there has definitely been some amazing accomplishments made this year, not only by the staff and game itself, but from you, the community! Without your constant feedback and activity, Chobots would not be what it is today. Thank you for a great year, and let's set our eyes for the future in 2014!

New Year 2014!

Hello everybody!

Another year has passed by really fast, and traditionally the end of the year is celebrated with big fireworks and a late-night dinner with their families, but people also make resolutions to break bad habits or start good ones. Of course there are many other ways how people celebrate New Year, and the Chobots Team wants to celebrate New Year 2014 with a big party on Chobots with you and your friends!

The New Years Party will be celebrated on the 1st of January, at 9 P.M. Chobots Time, in the Rope Street, on all servers! We will have tons of fireworks, colors, animations, but also music and loads of exclusive items rain! The Chobots Team wishes all of you a healthy and a prosperous start into the New Year! We also want thank you for being a part of our community!

Winter Baking Contest

Hey Chobots,

Everyone pull out your baking pans and get your cake batter and frosting ready, it's time for our Winter baking contest! It's that time of year again when the weather outside is brisk and we all like to stay nice and cozy indoors curled up while sipping hot chocolate.

This time of year is also one of the best times of year to get our baking on for the holidays and other fun activities. So with that in mind, some of us thought it'd be a good idea to see what kind of baking delights you guys can create. 

Your task is to bake a Chobots related gingerbread, cake or any other kind of delicious desert with a winter theme. The contest will go from today, December 30th all the way through January 5th. So get your apron on and start baking!

Scrapbook Contest Winners

Christmas Party

Hello everybody!

I hope all of you had a wonderful time with your family and friends on Christmas! We've celebrated Christmas with a big party on Chobots yesterday, too! Can you find yourself in any of these pictures we took during the party?

We've been partying in the Rockemall Street with loads of colors, animations and christmas music! Of course we had some cool rain with winter items aswell! Later we moved the party to the Shop, since we got three new items added to the catalogs:

Bluewonder and I also hosted a quiz with funny and interesting questions, where the winners earned some cool prizes. After the party we moved to the Agents Underground, where the Agents hosted hangman and pictionary!

We have many cultures and different lifestyles all around the world, so I guess everybody celebrates Christmas in another way. There are only a few days left until Christmas - the season of spreading good cheer, spending time with your family and sharing, caring and giving. Since our community grew into a big family, we want to spend Christmas with you, too! On this occasion the Chobots Team wants to celebrate a big Christmas Party with you and your friends.

Winter Disco

Hi Chobots,

As Winter quickly approaches the time for festivities has arrived! My favorite time of the year is Christmas time because I get to spend the day with friends and family. 

Tomorrow, December 20th at 9 PM / 21:00 Chobots Time, meet myself and some other team members at The Disco Lounge on the most populated server for an evening of fun, music and games. Also, be sure to wear your favorite outfit! The best dressed Chobots will receive an awesome mystery item.

3 Alternatives to Standing in Cafe Street

Hello Chobots!
These days, I usually find myself standing in Cafe Street, idle and waiting for something to happen. Of course, this is not something that most people want to do. Here I present you with some fun alternatives!

1. Browse the Shop
The Shop is always updated with the latest fashions and styles for this season, so why not treat yourself to a shopping trip? Winter is one of my favorite seasons for dressing up and creating new looks. I have provided below some fun styles that you can recreate, and each item is available for purchase right now.

You can always add your own personal flair to each style, for example any hand item/award will look great!

2. Earn some bugs

We often underestimate the games that Chobots has, and the amount of money you can earn by playing them! For example, the popular Choproff quiz draws a lot of users when he is around. Make sure to take advantage if this opportunity! Juniors make 200 bugs per round of Choproff, and if you are good enough to finish a round in roughly 30 seconds, you can make up to 2000 bugs in only 5 minutes! (for citizens, that amount is doubled!)

3. Start your own event

If you see that there is enough players online, you can start your own event! This a great way to meet new people, boost your creativity, and get involved in the Chobots community! Some ideas are hosting a multiplayer game event (Sweet Battle, Space Racer, etc.), going on a shopping spree with your friends, or even organizing a fashion show! Make sure to invite all your friends to your event, and then have your friends invite their friends! Soon you will have a fantastic and fun party that everyone can enjoy.

Artists Of The Season

Hey everyone!

I've looked over all of your entries and we have some very talented artists in the Chobots world. This was a very hard decision because all the entries were so great, but I've finally picked 4 winners. Take a look at them!

This drawing by Fuffeh is very detailed and I just love the sweet red cheeks. The dull colors in the drawing really gives it a wintry effect. Fuffeh is definitely a very skilled artist!

The landscape in this drawing is wonderful! I really like how Sam managed to draw Vani's face so it shows how excited she is about skiing. 

By looking at this great drawing it's easy to tell Jazzy is an experienced artist, I love how she changed the Chobots into her own unique style, very impressive!

I was actually only planning to pick 3 winners but then I saw this amazing drawing by Pigscanfly and just had to add her as one of the winners. I find this drawing very creative and I really love how she thought out of the box and drew something completely different from the other drawings!

Congratulations winners, you will all be awarded with citizenship, bugs, a special winter ribbon and a paintbrush. If you already have a paintbrush you will be awarded with another artist item.

Agent Meeting

Hey Agents!

December is quickly slipping passed us, and with each month comes the monthly Agents' Meeting this weekend! Each month a meeting is held with the Agents to discuss important topics regarding Chobots, and how to improve the game. The main topic this month will be future development of Chobots for 2014.

The meeting will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 12PM Chotime at the Agents' HQ on the most populated server. These meetings are not mandatory to attend, however it's recommended that you do attend. Agents that attend the whole meeting will be awarded an attendance gift.

UPDATE: The meeting will be held at 8PM Chotime instead.

Game Night

Hey Chobots!

Do you have any plans for the weekend? If not, we have something cool planned for you guys. What's your favourite game on Chobots? It's time for another game night on Sunday!

As you can see from the picture above, the event will start on Sunday, December 15th at 8 P.M. Cho-Time. Game Night is held every few weeks, during Game Night all competition boards are enabled for two hours.
All 1st place winners will receive amazing prizes, such as:

•       Citizenship
•       Game Controller 
•       Bugs

Note: If you won a certain game at the last Game Night, you cannot win in that game again! You will have to move to a different game, if you would like to win in this Game Night too. - Also, remember cheating is forbidden! Winter Music

Hello Chobots!

In many areas, it has already started getting into the sub zero temperatures! As you roam around the Chobots world, you may have noticed that Chobots has also received a blizzard. You know what this means? A contest!

If you choose to enter, here is what you have to do: create a music video related to a Winter or Holidays song. The actual video should also be based around a winter or holidays theme. You can choose any song relating to this theme as long as it is appropriate.

You will have to upload your video to YouTube. Once you have uploaded it, comment the link to your video below and your Chobot username. You have until December 18 to submit your music video. The winners will receive some sweet prizes!

Pinball Contest

Hello everybody!

I've recently found out that my old computer is still working and the first thing I did on it was playing Pinball. Pinball was probably a little part of your childhood, too, since it was one of the most played "Computer-games" in the past. I still find this game very cool and funny, so I'm glad Chobots brought it into our game. Unfortunately, some people slowly start to forget about this, so we decided to host a Pinball Contest to change that!

The boards for the Pinball Contest will be opened from today, the 8th of December, 9 P.M. Chobots-Time, for 2 days till the 10th of December. There is only a few weeks until Christmas and in my opinion, there isn't anything better than Christmas time. The smell of cinnamon and cookie everywhere you go as well as streets and houses twinkling with beautiful lights as they put up their Christmas trees! Some people don't even celebrate Christmas and have other events instead; "different cultures - different lifestyles"! One of the many different cultures celebrate Kwanzaa instead of Christmas. I guess most of you have never heard about this, so it's time to change that - it's time for another Research Contest!

Winter Art

Hey Artists!

Winter is slowly starting to arrive, it's getting colder and it's even starting to snow some places. A perfect way to memorize this beautiful season is by drawing! Therefore we have decided to hold a drawing contest. To enter this contest you must draw at least one of the four staff members listed below, but you can draw as many as you'd like.

The drawings will be of course be judged on quality but also creativity, so remember to be as creative as you can. Drawing the staff surrounded by a wonderful winter landscape or a cozy room with Christmas decorations will increase your chances of winning! December Journalist

Hello Chobots!

We are looking for new Chobots to join the Journalist program. The Journalist program showcases outstanding and well maintained blogs. If you are interested in becoming a Journalist, below you can find the requirements to apply.

As we have entered final month of 2013, we are looking for blogs the specifically focus on the whole year in-review. These blogs will have a higher chance of becoming a featured blog of the month.

•     Your blog should be at least one month old and updated weekly.
•     The posts on your blog must be your own and creative. You may not copy from other blogs or websites.
•     Images found on the Official Blog may be used in your posts.

Journalists are rewarded with many wonderful perks, such as:

Forum Updates

Hello Chobots!

Recently the Chobots Forum Team has been working very hard on making the forums appealing. For those of you who do not know what the Chobots Forum is, the Chobots Forum is a compilation of discussion boards where you can talk with other Chobots users about all different kinds of things! You can start threads and reply to threads, as well as enjoy many of the features on the forum.

Lately the forums have had some drops, so the forum team has decided to add on some new features! We have fixed multiple forum glitches as well as installed a new theme. Currently the forum is offline for down time, but in the next couple of days, you'll be able to see some new things. These include:

•    New forum features!
•    More awards and badges!
•    And more! It's all a surprise for when the forum is back online.

Sweet Battle Competition

It's finally Thanksgiving, an event that's celebrated in the United States of America and Canada. On this occasion the Chobots Team wishes every single of you a great and peaceful Thanksgiving with your family! We already celebrated this event in-game with an amazing Party yesterday! We started the Party in the cafestreet with beautiful colors and cool effects. In addition to music we also had some cool rain and  continued with a quiz about Thanksgiving! 3.    Provide your current amount of bugs.

Once your email is received, we will transfer any remaining balance of Market funds to your account within 3-days. Requests after December 3rd, 2013 will not be accepted.

Thanksgiving Party

Hey Chobots!

Thursday November 28th is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a time where families get together and have a big meal and celebrate the things that they are thankful for, and since most of your will probably be spending Thanksgiving with your family, we're going to have a Thanksgiving party tomorrow (November 27th).

I hope all of you enjoy school and the time before Christmas! These days commercials play a big role in our lifes - they're on TV, in newspapers and magazines, on the internet, etc., to advertise a product, an item or even a game. Especially now, since it's Christmas-Time, the companies have to work harder in the creation of advertisements because Christmas is the interval in which all the people around the world buy the most stuff, compared to other seasons of the year, to get presents for their family and friends.
Now it's your time to take the role of an advertiser and make your own commercial video for Chobots.

Your video requires the following Conditions:

•    The video has to be at least 45 seconds long
•    The video has to be recorded on Chobots
•    You have to be in the video (of course you can ask others to help you though)
•    The video needs to be uploaded on YouTube

You have time till the 3rd of December to submit your entry as a YouTube-link below this post. Don't forget to add your username either in the Video or while submitting in the comment. Let your imagination run free and create your own special video about how you'd advertise Chobots.

Clothes Refresh

Hey Chobots,

How are you? I hope you guys are having a wonderful week so far. Since it's getting really cold, and it started to snow in some countries, we decided to update the Shop, so everyone can be warm and fashionable! Today, the Chobots in-game Shop has been restocked with a bunch of cool items.

Some of them are for Juniors and some of them are for Citizens. Make sure to check out the Shop and get them while you can! What is your favorite clothing? Also, remember you can always send us your ideas/designs to Artwork@Chobots.net.

Space Racing Winners

Hello everybody!

I hope all of you had a beautiful start into the weekend and loads of different contests that are being hold on Chobots at the moment. Unfortunately one of these Contests came to an end and it's time to announce the winners of the Space Racing Contest.  Let's take a look at the scoreboard:

The first place, newy82, will receive 14 days of Citizen, 5000 bugs and the red Cholympics-medal. 
Godlight, who made it up till the 2nd place, will receive 10 days of Citizen, 4000 bugs and the green Cholympics-medal. 
The 3rd place, Blusche, will receive 7 days of Citizen, 3000 bugs and the blue Cholympics-medal.

TV Contest!

Hello everybody!

The 4th Thursday of this month is coming near, which means it's time for giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. It's time for the in America and Canada celebrated national holiday Thanksgiving! On this occassion we decided to host a contest that we didn't have for a while - a TV Contest!
For this contest you have to write and/or draw a report, news or a show about Thanksgiving! You should use one of these two templates for it:
