Chollywood Celebrities Contest: Results

Hello Chobots,

Recently, we asked you to capture a bit of information from the lives of Chobots Celebrities. We were given a glimpse into the lives of Invisible Cho, Harry Chotter, Hannah Cho-tanna, Choproff, and many other celebrities. Going through all of your fantastic and well done submissions, we discovered three that caught our eyes.

Secrets aren't really for celebrities, are they? With sneaky paparazzi, how could you ever keep a secret safe? ToastyTim managed to release Hannah Cho-tanna's secret of leading a double life, placing him in 1st place.

In 2nd place, we have the exposure of Cho Direction sent into us by Rosey2000.

Last, but certainty not least, coming in 3rd place, Adele Cho's fire of the rain, captured by Alexa!

•     ToastyTim, in first place will receive a Remote Control item, 14-days of Citizenship and 10,000 bugs.
•     Rosey2000 for coming in second will receive a Remote Control item, 10-days of Citizenship and 8,500 bugs.
•     Alexa will be awarded a Remote Control item, 7-days of Citizenship and 5,000 bugs.

Game Night!

Hi Chobots!

How are you doing so far, did you have fun this weekend? A weekend is a great time to do something fun; Like watch a movie, meet your friends, play Chobots, or you can just relax!

Recently, the staff and I were thinking what events should we host in the future. One of the ideas that came up was a game night, and then I remembered that the last game night that we had was three weeks ago! That's why we're going to have a game night, tomorrow!


That's right, we're going to have a game night tomorrow - Tuesday, July 30th, at 9:00 PM Cho-time!
The contest boards are going to be open, and you'll be able to compete against the different Chobots and try to reach the first place in each game!

Note; If you already won in a game night in the past, you cannot win in the same game again! If you would like to win in this game night too, you will have to compete in a different contest.

Remember, cheating is forbidden! If you found a user cheating in a contest, report him by leaving a comment under this post, explaining what did the user do. Don't forget to attach a photo of the occasion to your comment, it will prove that your report is correct.

Agents Meeting

Hi Chobots,

On Monday, July 29th, 2013 at 9:30PM Chotime we will be hosting a meeting for Agents to discuss suggestions, events, and how Chobots is doing.

All Agents are asked to attend, however, attendance is not mandatory. We will meet on the most populated city, in the Agents' HQ. If you have any questions or concerns you feel that needs to be discussed, please have your inquires ready prior to the meeting.

Hello Chobots!

It has came to that time where we are looking for new Agents to join the team! Do you know somebody that is very helpful and respectful that worked hard enough to become an Agent? With a detailed explanation, you may nominate up to 2 Chobots for a chance to be on the Agents' Poll.

Nominations are no longer being sent in a comment on the blog, we have created a new form system for recommendations, this helps to keep nominations a surprise!

Anime Party Recap!

Hello chobots!

I hope you guys all had fun at the Anime themed party that our team hosted!

It started off with colors backgrounds and animations, then we had a little bit of rain! Throughout the party all of us showed off our anime masks and our great outfits!
After the party was over, the team got together and picked three chobots who had the best Anime outfits!

Everyone had wonderful outfits but sadly, we were only able to pick three. Chalk, Skater and Kelly123 will receive 7 days of Citizenship and 10,000 bugs! Good Job!

Anime Party

Hey guys!

I hope all of you have had a wonderful week, if not I hope it will become better! Since we have not had a big party in a while, we have decided to a party!

We're Hiring!

Hey everyone,

If you're bored over the summer, gathering work experience from Chobots, for example, is a great way to pass the time. Chobots is always open for improvement, so that's why we have decided to open up new summer positions in the team.

We are looking for:

Premium Guru
As the Premium Guru, your one and only concern will be keeping the $hop, Daily Draw, and Citizenship Page up to date! You will constantly be thinking of new ideas and offers for citizenship packages, and scouting for new items to place in the $hop.
Requirements: You need to be active, know what you're doing, be able to communicate efficiently, and be motivated to do your job. It is also preferred that you have past experience in Marketing.

Staff Author
This is the position for you if you absolutely love writing - it's the only thing you'll be doing all day. You will need to be working closely with the Chobots staff in order to produce all sorts of documentation and other types of text; through doing this, you will become a Chobots expert. Writing official blog posts will also be a large responsibility.
Requirements: You need to have a lot of time on your hands to complete large amounts of writing in a short amount of time, and you should have an advanced level of English writing and comprehension. You should be able to work independently, as well as being able to co-operate with a team.

Creative Director
The future of Chobots relies on you. Working with the moderators and designers, you will be in charge of events, parties, competitions, and the bunch. You will be focusing on making sure everybody is having fun by inventing new activities and events for everyone to enjoy. A lot of your time will be spent planning what's going to happen in the next few months and how it will be made possible.
Requirements: You need to be very organised, creative, and ambitious. When faced with problems, you need to think of practical solutions and you need to be able to carry them out effectively. You should always be motivated to direct the creativity around Chobots, while being a very outgoing and positive spirit.
Note: This is not a blogging position - most of the work consists of writing documentation for the team.

We believe that a person's personality is just as important as their skills! Keep in mind that these positions are voluntary, and we do not offer a salary at this moment.

Chobots Council

Chobots is a world run by the community, for the community. This can clearly be seen through the undeniably strong passion that the Chobots team (composed of former community members) has for maintaining our wonderful world and keeping it safe and age-appropriate for everyone. While we do try our best to remain impartial and unbiased when it comes to making critical decisions, it's not always easy to keep in mind the interests of our vast user base.

That is why the Chobots Council was founded - to bridge the gap between the Chobots team and you, our valued community members. The main function of the Council is to act as a board of advisors to the Chobots administration (i.e. allow the team to hear opinions from different perspectives). Upon establishment, the Council consists of a total of 8 members: two juniors, two citizens, one journalist, one agent, one moderator, and one administrator, who presides over the Council. These members ("Councillors") are elected through popular vote, after being nominated by the Chobots administration. Further and more simplified details can be found in the F.A.Q.

In order to become a member of the Chobots Council, you need to show a strong interest in the Council and follow the Chobots rules. Of course, it's also required that you stay active - how else would you know what's going on in the Chobots world? Once there is a vacant position in the Chobots Council, a few members will be nominated by the administration, and a vote will be cast by the appropriate group (see F.A.Q.)

We believe that the power to bring change is not exclusive to the Chobots team, but instead belongs to the members of the community, and we hope that through establishing the Chobots Council, we can encourage more interaction between the staff and the users.

Journalists Wanted!

Hey Chobots!

I hope you're enjoying your summer so far! Yet another month has come, so it's time for us to choose some new journalists!

As you probably know by now, the Journalist program encourages our users to create outstanding blogs that will be showcased here on the official blog. Everybody is welcome to submit their blog, as long as it meets the following criteria:

•      Your blog should be at least one month old.
•      You should update your blog weekly, with different things.
•      Your posts should be written by you or one of your authors - they weren't
       copied from somewhere.
•      Your blog should be creative and nicely decorated, with things such as a
       header and a template.

If you feel that your blog meets those requirements, feel free to comment a link to it here! Please note that blogs submitted to other places (such as the Support email) will not be counted. If we choose you to be one of our Journalists, you will receive many great perks, such as:

•      Your blog will be featured here on the official blog, as well as on the top

Pets Weekend!

Hey Chobots!

How's your week going so far? I hope that you're enjoying it so far, because this weekend is going special because for the first time ever, we're having a pets weekend!

The pets weekend includes 3 events: Two contests and a party! Here is a description about the events:

•      Best Looking Pet Contest: Usually we award Chobots that have the
       best outfits, but this time your pets will compete! If you own a pet and
       you would like to participate in the contest, take a picture of it and
       comment it under this post. The best looking pets will win!
•      "My Pet & I" Contest: Pets are not simple animals that you feed.
       They are here to be with you, play with you and have fun with you.
       That's why we would like to see what fun stuff do you do with your
       pets. Draw a picture or record a short video of you having fun with your
       pet. Your picture/video can show you and your pet playing a game,
       talking to each other, or anything else! The best pictures and videos will
       win!
•      Citizens Pets Party: One of the bonuses that citizens receive is that
       they can take their pets outside of their houses, so I thought; We should
       have a citizens only pets party! Citizens, you are invited to a pets party
       that will take place on Saturday, July 13th, at 8:00 PM Cho-time at the
       Citizens HQ. Don't forget to bring your pets to the party!

Smelly Garbage

Hello Chobots!

You smell that awful stench in the air? That's the smell of garbage, and it's floating in space! Looks like we're going to have to have a Garbage Collector contest so we can get rid of this trash!

This contest will last until Thursday, July 11th. Those who get to the top three on the board will win some cool prizes!

Update: All the scores were accidentally reset. All the points that everyone earned until now were saved, and will be added to your final scores at the end of the contest.  We apologize for the inconvenience!

Hello Chobots!

It's that time once again to have a fun night where you'll be able to play the different games around the city, compete and even win some prizes. That's right, it is time for another game night!

This game night will be taking place on Saturday, July 6th at 21:00 (9:00 PM) Cho-Time. If you are having trouble figuring out how much longer until the games open, you can use this countdown clock:

The Chobots team will be around Chobots making sure that there is no cheating. Cheating will result in a disqualification from the contest. If you happen to find someone cheating during the game night; please email support@chobots.net with proof. If you'll find and report a cheater, you will be awarded with 5000 bugs.

Chobots at the beach

Hey friends!

As you may know, summer has officially begun last month. I really love the summer, especially because of the warm weather and the trips to beaches!

The beach is a very cool place! The sun is shining, there's lots of sand, you can play different games, and even go swimming! Imagine yourself that you could do these stuff on Chobots. I would really like to see Chobots at the beach, that's why we're having a drawing contest!

Yes, that's right, a drawing contest with the topic "Chobots at the beach". All you have to do is to draw a picture of Chobots hanging out at the beach - playing with a ball, swimming, reading a book, eating ice cream, etc. You can draw your entry with a pencil on a piece of paper, draw it on one of our graffiti walls, or any other way that you can think of.  Remember, you have to draw your entry by yourself!

I think one week is a perfect time for you to finish your entry, so you have time until the 12th of July to submit your entry. Entries should be submitted as a comment to this post; entries that will be submitted anywhere else won't be counted.

Let your creativity run wild and have lots of fun while drawing!

Fourth of July

Update: The party has been postponed due to the technical issues. It will be hosted tomorrow- July 5th at 8:00 PM Cho-time instead.

Hey Chobots,

How's July going so far? Today while I was on my way to the Café to get a cold lemonade, I noticed a group of Chobots wearing red, white, and blue outfits. When I looked closely, I saw that one of the Chobots was holding a USA flag, and then I remembered - tomorrow is the fourth of July, USA's independence day!

To celebrate this special day, we are going to have a BIG party, tomorrow! Everyone is invited to the huge 4th-of-July party that will take place tomorrow; July 4th, at the Rockemall Street, at 20:00 (8:00 PM) Cho-time.

We are going to watch a spectacular fireworks show and a bunch of other magic tricks at the party. And of course, we will have rain!
If you're planning to attend, don't forget to wear red, white and blue clothes! Our staff members are going to look for the best outfits tomorrow, so you better be ready.

Comics Contest!

Hey Chobots!

One of the most dangerous locations in the Chobots world is the Nichos Kingdom, where the Nichos live.
In the past, the Nichos used to abduct Chobots. The most known Chobot that has been abducted by the Nichos is Gune. The question is, how did they do it? That's what we're going to find out!

So here is my mission to you: You need to create a comic strip of how Gune was captured by the Nichos.
This contest will last a whole week, including today, and the winning entries will be published soon after.

Here is the comic template, the way you present it is completely up to you.
