Board Game Winners

Hey everyone!

Are you ready to show your teachers that you've got what it takes in school? I know the winners of the board game competitions are!

This season's best players of Chess, Checkers and Sliders are Independent, Adventurous and Randomzzz. All three of you have been rewarded with 14 days of citizenship, 7,000 bugs and a first place medal for your fantastic performance.

Fashion Show Time!

Hey Chobots!

What's your favorite thing to do on Chobots? Play games, earn Bugs? Well, my favorite thing to do is dress up and try to look the best that I can! That's why I, along with some other Staff members, will be hosting a fashion show with you guys.

The show will be held on Saturday, August 31st at 15:30 Cho-Time (3:30 PM). We will meet at Cafe Street, and then we will move to a staff member's house to have the fashion show! If you're having trouble figuring out when the show will start, here's a count-down clock:

September Journalists

Hello Chobots!

We are looking for new Chobots to join the Journalist program. The Journalist program showcases outstanding and well maintained blogs. If you are interested in becoming a Journalist, below you can find the requirements to apply.

•     Your blog should be at least one month old and updated weekly.
•     The posts on your blog must be your own and creative. You may not copy from other blogs or websites.
•     Images found on the Official Blog may be used in your posts.

Journalists are rewarded with many wonderful perks, such as:

•     Your blog will be featured on the play page
•     Journalist badge on your playercard with the title of your blog, along with an exclusive playercard
•     In the beginning of the month, one free week of Citizenship
•     Invited to an exclusive mailing list to receive information of upcoming events, future features and news before anyone else
•     You will receive the exclusive feather item automatically

Board Games

Hey Chobots!

For some of you the Summer vacation is almost over, but before we go back to school I think that we should host another in-game competition, or maybe three?

You were probably busy eating ice cream & watermelons, hanging out with friends and going to cool places in the Summer vacation, but in the following competitions; you'll have to use your brain to win!

The Sliders, Checkers & Chess boards were turned on! All you have to do is to visit the academy street or Choproff's classroom, play one of these three games and earn points! The contests will last one week; Which means you got time until the 31st of August to earn as much points as you can. The winners will be awarded with some cool prizes!

Summer Story Contest

Hello Chobots,

Summer is quickly coming to an end, and everyone is returning to their great occupation, school! Many great memories have happened this summer, and we'd like you to share them with us! You have the opportunity to share your summer adventures using either a comic, scrapbook or video.  Below are templates which you may need to complete the contest.

Your scrapbook will need to use both of these images.

 

Video:

Your video must be uploaded to YouTube and be no longer than 5 minutes long.

Your submission must contain:

•     (1) Event that you have done this summer
•     A brief description of what you did on the event 

We will be deciding winners based on who provided to best detailed and more organized submissions. Submissions will only be accepted using the comments form below, and will not be accepted if you send it anywhere else, such as Support. The submissions will close on Saturday, August 31, 2013.

Updated Rules

Dear Chobots,

Update 8/25/2013: We have reinstated "No Dating" as a rule on Chobots.

Through a few internal meetings and Council gatherings, the Chobots Team concluded that the official rules had to be revised. The administration spent a lengthy amount of time determining which rules to modify or omit and, after consulting a select group of Chobots, decided to invalidate (remove) the following rules:

Advertising - Discussing/promoting websites that do not necessarily relate to Chobots.
Asking for agency - Asking a moderator to receive the agent badge without working for it.
Asking for items - Begging/annoying other users for their valuable items.
Controversial discussion - Talking about subjects regarding religion and sexuality.
Gifting - Begging/annoying other users for free gifts.

Evolving the Chobots rules comes at a time in which we are seeing growth and an increase of maturity within the community, and thus the administration deemed it was appropriate for the rules to reflect the primary user age-group and to provide a more sensible gameplay for our users.

We've said it many times before, and we'll say it again: Chobots is a world run by the community, for the community. The Chobots Team is here to provide the community with friendly support and to ensure everybody can enjoy themselves in a safe environment; we do not exist to police your thoughts, control your actions, or to restrict your social freedom. It is your own responsibility to recognise the difference between right and wrong.

While your account might no longer be punished as a result of violating these rules, your actions still be frowned upon by the community. Please keep in mind that moderators still reserve the right to indefinitely suspend your account for acting out of order and/or disrupting other players' gameplay, even if you broke a rule that has been invalidated.

Recap: Music Jam

Hey guys!

The Music Jam yesterday was a blast! We started with some effects, beautiful colors and some songs of the charts.

After that, some of you had the ability to show your music skills such as josh with his band members Elthomiii, Darkmoon and Sophia.

Of course we played all together on our instruments and made some music.

Later we moved the party to the Rockemall street so the juniors could join us! Again we had pretty much music and beautiful effects.

Well, that's all about the party... except the winners for the best "music"-outfits!

It was kind of hard to choose winners for that, because you all combined your instruments with your clothes in a special and fantastic way, but we've still come to a decision.

Elthomiii looks like a modern styled chobot and his rattles give his outfit a special touch.

Ground combined his instrument with his sombrero in a cool mexican way.

Chalk's rattles match perfect with her black-white style and are a highlight in her outfit.

Great job! All of you receive 5000 bugs, 5 days of Citizenship and a trophy!

Music jam!

Hey friends!

Hip-Hop, Jazz, Dubstep, Rap, Country etc.- Music became an important part in most of our lifes. Parties and music together are a great combination, but what if the party would be all about the music? Therefore the Chobots Team decided to make a Music Jam with loads of magic, colors, rain and of course- music, no matter which genre!

Join us tomorrow, Wednesday the 21th of August, at 5.30 pm Cho-Time at the Music Stage and dont forget to bring your instruments, so we can jazz up the charts!
Oh right, before I forget it- the people who will combine their outfit with his/her instrument the best will get some cute prizes!

Stylish in Black and White

Hey guys!

The past weekend on Chobots was quite different from others - the world of Chobots was colourless! We had a great time having a fashion show and a party (with old school music from the 50s) in black and white. During this party we promised that we would be on the lookout for the best black and white outfits. Here are the ones we liked the most:

Good news, I just received some more news from Chopix, and all the Nicho spies have been captured! As promised, the top three Chobots who helped Chopix the most will receive some cool prizes! Chopix Needs Your Help!

Attention all Chobots!

Chopix has just informed me that Nicho spies are on the loose, and Chopix needs your help to catch them!

Starting today (August 14th) Chopix will need your help catching those Nicho spies. Then on August 16th the top three Chobots who helped Chopix the most will win a cool prize! All you have to do is head over to the Park and pick up your glasses from Chopix if you don't have them already!

Pictionary/Hangman with the Team!

Hey Chobots!

It's been a while since we've had a few fun games of Hangman and Pictionary, that's why the team has decided to host one!

If you never played those games with the team before, then let me explain; The Chobots gather at the agents underground and patiently wait for some staff members to log in. When they arrive - the games begin! We usually play Hangman- Where you need to guess a certain word, and Pictionary- Where a Chobot draws something on the graffiti wall and the users need to guess what it is.

It will take place tomorrow, August 14th in the Agents Underground at 7:30 PM Chobots Time (19:30 GMT). We all hope you can make it for this fun event with the staff!

Hide and Seek!

Hello Chobots!

One of my favorite things to do on Chobots is play hide and seek with my friends, don't you agree? I just love hiding in really tough places, and watching people try to find me. That's why, today, we will be having a hide and seek contest with you guys!

If you'd like to play hide and seek with some of your favorite mods, join us at Eco Street at 20:30 Chobots time (8:30 PM). Once everyone's there, we will leave Eco Street, and you'll have to come find us! Here's a timer counting down until the start of the first game.

I hope to see you all there! Just a reminder, some mods can move themselves around, or even make themselves invisible, so they'll be even harder to find! It's always a good idea to double-check rooms you've already visited, and look very closely!

Music Jam: Recap

Hello Chobots!

We enjoyed the music and fantastic bands found at the Stage & Rockemall Street. A contest had been held in addition to Music Jam. The contest asked Chobots to form a small band, then capture a photo or small video of their bands playing instruments.

Juan Direction featuring Camera, Barkleschnoff, Idonotlikepeach, Vasa12345 and Yosheh placed first in the video category for the Music Jam contest!

Winning the image category are the Uniques featuring Adventurous, Daniellecasey, Master720, Nightmare and Sylva.

All of the winners have been awarded 7-days of Citizenship and 7,500 bugs! Thank you everyone for entering in this contest, very well done!

Creativity Contest

Hey Chobots,

How's August going so far? I hope that were having fun until now.

In the past few days, some citizens notified us that they didn't receive the player card(s) and/or chat bubbles after purchasing a citizenship package. Our development team is working very hard to fix this glitch, and you should receive them in a few days. In the meanwhile, you can enjoy the other features that offer citizens.

In the past few weeks our staff members were watching the different users that play Chobots, and we noticed that we have many creative users; Artists, video makers and even writers! We thought about it for a while, and decided to host a "Creativity Contest" where you'll be able to show everyone your creative skills!

Here's what you have to do:

Create a story about something that happened in the Chobots world. The occasion that you're going to use in your story doesn't have to be real - you can use your imagination and think of a new creative story. 

Your story must contain a plot, characters, and a location. 

Your entry is not supposed to be in a specific format; You can choose the one that you're the best at from the list below and work on it:

•      You can write some paragraphs and describe what's happening in your
       story.
•      You can draw your story on our graffiti walls or on a piece of paper.
•      You can write a script and film your story.
•      You can create a comic page with the events in your story.
•      You can create a scrapbook about your story.
•      You can show your story on TV.
•      You can write about your story in the newspaper.

Here are some templates that you can use for your entry:

       

               

The contest will last one week, which means that you can submit your entries until Wednesday, August 14th. The winners will be announced shortly after the 14th, and will receive some cool prizes!

Wednesday Music Jam

Hi Chobots!

Music has a powerful influence on your behaviors as person. You may even decide your clothing based on the last song genre you listened to. This Wednesday, August 7, 2013, we are going to be hosting a Wednesday Music Jam. Everyone is asked to purchase (or use their current) instruments to rock the planets of Chobots with wonderful music, along with music played by the Moderators throughout the day.

There is a contest involved in Music Jam! You will need to form a band, and play your instruments anywhere on Chobots. Take a picture (or video) of your band playing their instruments. Then, submit your photo in the comments below, be sure to include everyone in your band's name, and have the names showing on Chobots! The winning group will receive a week of Citizenship.

Music Jam will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, throughout the whole day.

Trees day

Hey friends!

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend and you're not as tired because we've got an awesome teamwork challenge for all of you! Today, August fourth,  you'll all have to take care of the trees in Chobots. You guys have to work together to keep all trees blue for two hours.

Here's the catch - you only have 24 hours to complete this task. If you fail you'll have another chance one day.
If you guys work together and complete this challenge, you guys will get a special prize! All of you! I wonder what the prize will be! :-)

The week is almost over and the weekend will be here soon. I'm not sure if you checked the calendar lately, but today is the first day of August! You can probably guess what that means; New month - new citizenship items!
